When Rumble's ability recycles a unit as a cost to finalize his second trigger, can the opponent remove that unit with Gust or Star-Crossed before it is recycled? After the recycle cost is paid, the "play a Mech from trash" effect goes on the chain — can they respond with Disposal Orders to stop the Mech?

Rumble Hotheaded says your Mechs each have Assault, while Rumble Scrapper says your Mechs have +1 Might (including me). Does Hotheaded's Assault effect apply to itself even though it is also a Mech? Does Rumble Hotheaded's Assault apply to itself?
lets assume i conquer a bf with my red rumble and another friendly mech whos printed might is 3, but because of red rumbles assault tag its actually 4 might. When red rumble uses his conquer ability to recycle, would i be able to use the 4 might unit, or would it go back down to 3 post combat?
If Red Rumble's effect became a reflexive trigger can he play Mechs from Minefield's effect? Scenario: Red Rumble conquering Minefield. We know that Rumble can't play the units that Minefield pulls out because he needs to declare his targets in order for the effect to go on chain. Let's say it got changed to: "When I conquer, you may recycle a unit. If you do, then do this: play a Mech from your trash reducing its Energy cost by the unit you recycled". Correct if I'm wrong, but it would work right? We recycle a unit, Rumble's effect is now on chain with Minefield. We resolve Minefield's then Rumble. When Rumble's effect resolves, it creates a pending reflective trigger which we then can target a Mech from our trash seeing the cards pulled from Minefield. How does this interaction resolve?
