Can each Sand Soldier played by Weaponmaster attach its own equipment for a discounted cost?

If I equip a piece of gear to a Sand Soldier and then conquer with it, can I move that gear to a different Sand Soldier on the same turn, effectively letting me get two units benefiting from Weaponmaster on Azir's legend? Does Weaponmaster limit me to only one equipment total, or can each Sand Soldier attach its own?

Source: Riftbound Spiritforged FAQ The reminder text says Weaponmaster is optional, but the rules wording sounds mandatory. Do I have to use it?

Master Bingwen can attach equipment to friendly units. If an equipment is already attached to one unit, can Master Bingwen attach that same equipment to a different unit? Can Master Bingwen attach an already attached equipment to a new target?
