Can Baited Hook play a unit to the battlefield where it killed my only unit?

Baited Hook kills my only unit at a battlefield I control, then lets me play a unit from the top cards. Is that battlefield still a valid location?

Yes. Because the played unit is pending on the chain, you do not lose control of the battlefield during the cleanup. You can play the new unit to that same battlefield.
