Can you save units from Elder Dragon's passive when it enters?

If your units already have damage marked on them and Elder Dragon enters the board, is there any reaction window to save them with cards like Janna before they die? If you react to Aurora's When I Play trigger instead, can you still save them?

There is no reaction window before Elder Dragon's passive kills damaged units. You cannot Ambush because you have no units at the battlefield. The earliest you can react is when Elder Dragon's When I Play is finalized on the chain, after targets are chosen. You could play units like Rengar or Janna then, but you cannot Ambush. Reacting to Aurora's trigger still leads to Elder Dragon's passive killing your units.
