Do attack and defend triggers fire again when a second combat is staged?

After a Deathknell resolves, combat ends with no result and a new combat is staged with units that were already at the battlefield. I understand a revived defender with a "when I defend" trigger would fire, but what about units that never left? If the opponent still has Vi, Hotheaded there, does her defend trigger happen again and can she stun again?

Yes. After the Deathknell resolves, the current combat ends, designations are removed, cleanup is performed, and the staged combat opens with fresh attacker/defender designations. All attack and defend triggers, including Vi's stun, happen again when that second combat begins.
