Does Yone trigger when Void Assault empties a defended battlefield?

Yone needs the conquered battlefield to have been uncontrolled when the showdown begins. If the defender controlled it when combat began, Yone does not trigger. If Void Assault leaves an open contested battlefield with no prior showdown, Yone can trigger.
