Can I Ambush a battlefield to hold it after a Temporary unit is removed at the start of my turn?

Yes. Awakening happens first, then the Beginning Phase starts. Temporary removes units at the start of the Beginning Phase, and holding for a point happens after that timing. Remember you have already awakened your runes, so you enter your Main Phase without those runes ready.
